Keep Your Existing Cameras — Connect Them to the Cloud
iFovea works with 500+ ONVIF-compatible IP cameras from major brands. If your cameras support ONVIF or RTSP, you don’t need to replace them. The iFovea Gateway connects your existing cameras to the cloud platform — no new cabling, no NVR replacement required during the transition.
Organizations migrating from Verkada, Genetec, OpenEye, Eagle Eye, Rhombus, Milestone, or traditional NVR/DVR systems typically keep all existing ONVIF-compatible cameras — saving $500–$2,000+ per camera in replacement costs while gaining full AI analytics and cloud management.
Questions We Can Answer During the Demo
Your demo is a working session — not a sales pitch. Bring your specific questions.
Can my existing cameras work with iFovea? +
iFovea supports 500+ ONVIF-compatible IP camera models. During the demo, we’ll verify your specific camera brands and models — Hikvision, Axis, Uniview, Hanwha, Dahua, Vivotek, and many others — and confirm compatibility before you commit to anything. Learn more about bring-your-own-cameras cloud VMS.
Do I need to replace my NVR or DVR system? +
No — if your cameras support ONVIF or RTSP, the iFovea Gateway connects them to the cloud without requiring NVR replacement during the initial migration. You can decommission NVR hardware on your own timeline after the cloud system is validated.
How much bandwidth does cloud video require? +
A 2MP camera streaming continuously to the cloud requires approximately 0.5–1 Mbps of upload bandwidth. A 10-camera location needs 5–10 Mbps. For locations with bandwidth constraints, hybrid cloud architecture provides full local recording with selective cloud upload. Use the bandwidth calculator to estimate your requirements.
How much does cloud video storage cost? +
Cloud video storage is included in iFovea’s per-camera subscription pricing. Essential plan includes 14-day retention; Professional AI plan includes 30-day retention; Enterprise supports up to 90 days. Use the storage calculator to estimate storage requirements for your camera count and retention period.
Can iFovea support multiple locations from one account? +
Yes. iFovea’s multi-site cloud VMS provides a single dashboard for all locations — with role-based access controls, proactive camera health monitoring, centralized AI alerts, and per-location analytics. Unlimited locations on Professional AI and Enterprise plans.
Can I use AI analytics with existing cameras — or only new ones? +
AI analytics work with existing ONVIF-compatible cameras. You don’t need new cameras to use people counting, AI forensic search, loitering detection, ALPR, PPE compliance, heat maps, or other analytics types. AI processing happens at the cloud layer — not on the cameras themselves.
How is iFovea different from Verkada or OpenEye? +
Verkada and Rhombus require proprietary cameras ($500–$2,000+ each) and lock you into their ecosystem. iFovea works with 500+ existing camera brands — saving the full camera replacement cost. AI analytics are included in iFovea’s subscription, not sold as separate add-on modules. See the full iFovea vs. Verkada comparison.
Can I use iFovea as a white-label VMS for my clients? +
Yes. iFovea’s white-label cloud VMS allows security integrators and resellers to offer a branded cloud video platform to their clients with recurring revenue share. No proprietary camera requirements — your clients can use their existing ONVIF cameras.
